Bored at home? The PA Lottery has readers of Penn Bets covered.

The agency is offering a 100% bonus up to $300 for new depositors on its website and smartphone app. That deal is up from an earlier, expired promotion offering a 300% bonus on a deposit up to $25.

The 100% bonus up to $300 started Friday and expires at 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, April 19. The minimum deposit for the bonus offer is $10, so you can still take advantage if you’re a low-stakes player.

In order to convert the bonus money to cash that you can withdraw into your bank account, you must wager the value of the qualifying deposit and the bonus money amount through 10 times within 30 days.

This is called a play-through requirement.

For example, if you deposit $100 and are awarded $100 in bonus funds, you must place $2,000 in wagers before the bonus awarded in the promotion becomes cash which may be withdrawn from your account.

The PA iLottery offers a plethora of ways to deposit, including MasterCard and Visa debit cards, PayPal, ACH, among several others. Withdrawing is also easy.

Play and support older Pennsylvanians

Retail sales for the Pennsylvania Lottery are down, but online play is up significantly. The state’s online casinos are also seeing similar results, with the eight online gaming sites reporting $24.3 million in March revenue, up from $19.5 million in February. The Keystone State has had online casino gambling since July.

Pennslyvania Lottery’s online gaming offerings were authorized under the 2017 law that also OK’d online casino and sports betting under Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board oversight. PA Lottery online went live in late May 2018 with 11 instant win games and has since expanded the games library to more than 70.

The Keystone State lottery funds critical services for seniors, such as low-cost prescription assistance, free and reduced-fare transportation, property tax and rent rebates, and home-delivered meals.

Gambling is always more fun when winning, but if you lose at least you can say you lost for a good cause.

There are two basic types of games at the PA iLottery — instant win and draw. You can also buy tickets to the Powerball and Mega Millions multi-state jurisdictional draw games, which commonly award nine-figure prizes. Some of the popular instant win games include Foxin’ Wins Reveal, Volcano Reveal, and Cash Buster Towers, among many others.
