Unibet broke into the U.S. sports betting market during the Fall of 2019 in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Pennsylvania legalized sports gambling in a 2017 bill. While its entry in the U.S. is fairly recent, worldwide it’s one of the first regulated PA online sportsbooks, initially opening its doors in Europe in 1997.
The Unibet sportsbook app and the web-based platform offers solid promotions, pricing that’s become increasingly competitive, as well as a huge range of sports and different markets as well. It’s a platform that is made by players for the players, and you won’t get the litter of unnecessary clutter that you see from some other brands. In other words it’s not flashy, so a sports betting purists will want to get to know. There are absolutely drawbacks and flaws to discuss in this review as well.
One of Unibet’s biggest attractions is its welcome package, which you can take advantage of by clicking our links. This includes a $500 second chance bet for your first wager, which must be wagered within one day.
|Unibet Sportsbook PA Bonus Code||Just click this link|
|Free Bet||$500 Second Chance Bet|
|Online since||November 2019|
The Unibet Sportsbook PA second chance bet gets triggered once you make your first cash bet after you have made a deposit.
This promo starts for bets as low as $10 and up to $500. So-called “second chance bets” work in this way: On this first bet if you succeed, great, you’ve won – make plans for your new cash. If you lose, you’ll get cash credited to your account in the amount corresponding to how much you staked on the first bet. If that was $200, and you missed on the bet, you’ll get the $200 back, credited to your account within 72 hours.
Most sportsbooks offer second chance bets that award “bonus bets” that have to be used on sports, however, this Unibet offer pays out cash – it’s second chance in every sense of the term.
Also, to use this offer, you need to have your account verified. You can do this via the account section once you are logged in, and it won’t take long to complete.
When we review any sportsbook, we like to look at the ways a brand stands out from the crowd. Here is a list of advantages Unibet offers that should make you want to sign up
The range of promotions at Unibet Sportsbook PA is quite good and recurring day-to-day.
Betting boosts are the backbone of its promo section outside of the welcome offer. It runs three regularly:
The profit boost is something a little different and not offered by many sportsbooks. Unibet picks a game every night and you can boost the odds any any wager by 50% (maybe a bit less at times). For example, pick a side that’s +200, at a 50% boost, you’d be getting the price for +300. At a $20 stake, that’s a potential $60 win instead of $40. The max boost on these is $25. Select games are eligible. Often standalone NFL games.
The parlay boost is linked to all combination bets (parlays and teasers), and each selection within this needs to be priced at -500 or higher (-450, -350, +100, etc). The more selections you include, the higher the bonus, starting at 10% for 3, 20% for 4, and then maxing out at 30% for 5.
The daily odds boost, and the profit boost can be seen in the main sports betting menu — on the left side on the website. These change all the time, so keep checking back to see what’s on offer. An example: Saquan Barkley to score a TD and Giants win, going from +150 to +200.
At the minute there is no loyalty program available at Unibet. Would be nice, but for now there’s a strong range of existing player promos that are currently live.
Registration with Unibet is a process that takes just a few minutes. For starters, you need to be over the age of 21. Unibet is live in Pennsylvania right now, but you can, in fact, sign up from within any U.S. state.
The process starts by clicking the “Join now” button at the top of the page. You can do this on mobile or desktop, with both being the same.
You will need to work through the three sections as outlined on the screen.
The first is your login details, such as email address and password. Make sure you use an active email address here and one you can easily get access to, as you will need to verify your account.
The second part will include your name, gender, and date of birth. The third and final part includes your address, mobile phone number, and a range of security questions that you need to attach to your account.
Once this has all been processed, you will be asked to verify the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. Don’t be too alarmed here as this a security measure and now now standard practice within the gambling industry, as well as many other industries.
Unibet is available as a web-based platform and on Android and iOS systems for mobile phones. Like most gambling-related apps, legal ones included, the app is not available in the Google Play store. You must navigate to the Unibet website and download it (change your phone’s source permissions if necessary). The app is also available for iOS systems, however that version is sorely lacking and often breaks down.
Unibet is unique in that the Kambi oddsmaking and risk-management software it employs is actually a part of the Kindred Group, which also owns Unibet. While the Kambi software and tech is used at many other sites in the U.S., Unibet is still able to create a relatively unique betting experience.
Access to the desktop site is as simple as landing on the Unibet page and navigating to Sports. Once you are here, then you get a pretty basic but totally functional layout.
The homepage includes the top games of the day (or week) and then a list of any live games that are taking place. The left bar will give you the full menu.
There’s a search feature at the top of the page, which is imperative given the breadth of betting options and menus. It saves a lot of the toggling around, which you may have to do at other sportsbooks. The bet slip is hidden at the bottom of the screen until you need it, and moving between sports and betting options is very easy. You can easily pull the bet slip up and send it back down with a click.
If you have a “live” bet in the slip, that’s indicated and easily visible. The odds will shift in there in real time — and you can approve the changes or not. The color contrast is nice — no black background with white print — so it’s easily visible and discernible. If you have a tendency to “fat finger” buttons, you’re on your own!
The mobile app is basically a mini-desktop site. When you get onto the app, you begin to see that the sportsbook was designed with mobile in mind and then works backward to make it fit around the desktop site.
Bettors can download the app via the App Store for iOS devices, and for Android, simply visit the site in your mobile browser, and then you will be prompted to download from there, then open it up. Change permissions as needed.
The Android app is pretty smooth, stable, responsive to touch and loads quickly with minimal lag time (if any). Nice when you’re looking to make an in-game wager. Minimal frills or distracting popups. Just bet it, baby.
The iOS app is a different story. Last we tested it was frequently breaking down and feels like just a Safari site running through an app. We’ll see if that changes.
On Android at least — add a wager to your bet slip and punch in the bet amount, and the potential payout will calculate, and adjust if you add in more items to the wager. You can bounce between singles wagers and parlays (or round robins) as needed.
When you use one of the more established brands, like Unibet, you often get access to a stronger range of banking options. The Unibet sportsbook is no exception to this rule and here are what you can access:
Pricing at Unibet is pretty consistent throughout. At the time of this writing, it appears that Unibet pricing has actually become more competitive, whereas previously we’d often notice a slightly higher vig on straight bets and in-game wagers compared with some competitors.
We can’t speculate why this might be, but it’s certainly welcomed. For example on a Boston College vs. Virginia NCAA basketball game, the vig on FanDuel Sportsbook was a total 30 cents versus 25 at Unibet. These margins add up. FanDuel beats Unibet it some spots, but it was about even on live betting and Unibet was an equal on pre-game spread bets and props.
With DraftKings Sportsbook switching to SBTech, Unibet and other remaining Kambi-powered systems have more room to stand out and grow with Kambi. Kambi critics site harsh treatment of “sharp” bettors, but is still widely regarded for providing superior technology.
Most of what you’d want, but a little narrower here in Pennsylvania, due to state regulations. You can bet on:
Among other things, you cannot bet on high school or amateur sports or the Academy Awards.
Pretty much most of what you’d want and will see elsewhere:
Unibet is partnered in Pennsylvania with the Mohegan Sun Pocono. It was approved for a sports betting license in 2019 and has created a 1,100 sq. foot sportsbook that contains an 28-foot HD video wall, six sports betting terminals (kiosks), three live betting windows, a cozy seating area, plus on-site full service bar.
