Parx Pursues More PA Exposure Through iCasino Partnership With The Steelers

By Gary Rotstein

On Monday, Parx Casino’s owner announced a partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers involving the casino’s online gaming site.

The deal between the Steelers and Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment will give Parx Interactive some new exposure in western Pennsylvania, on the other side of Pennsylvania from the casino’s base in suburban Philadelphia. Parx had one of the state’s first online casinos, and that platform is shared with its online sportsbook. The Steelers previously signed partnerships with two online sportsbooks — Unibet and BetMGM — and Monday’s announcement said Parx “is now a proud online casino partner of the Pittsburgh Steelers” without making mention of its sportsbook.

“Steelers fans are passionate and their love of the game is legendary,” Matthew Cullen, senior vice president of Parx iGaming and Sports at Parx Interactive, stated in a press release. “We look forward to tapping into that passion and providing Steelers Nation with an outstanding entertainment experience in all forms of iGaming.”

The partnership is to include marketing geared toward Steelers fans, including a season-long promotion called “The Ultimate Steelers Fan” that will provide the winning fan with an all-expenses-paid trip for two to each Steelers away game in 2022. Parx Interactive will also have full use of team logos in communications across marketing, products, social media, and digital properties.

“We’re excited to bring Parx Interactive into the fold as a proud online casino partner,” said Ryan Huzjak, Steelers vice president of sales and marketing. “We think Steelers fans will enjoy the Parx Interactive platform and the opportunity to compete for unique Steelers prizes and experiences.”
